Terms of Service

Cellar Dash is a private record of the bottles you own. These terms explain what we promise you, what we ask of you, and how the paid plan works — in plain language wherever it will hold.

1. Agreeing to these terms

Cellar Dash is operated by Cellar Dash, LLC ("Cellar Dash", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the service you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

2. You must be of legal drinking age

Cellar Dash is for adults of legal drinking age. In the United States that is 21. Elsewhere it is the legal drinking age where you live, and never below 18.

When you sign up we ask for your date of birth and country and check them against that threshold. You confirm the information you give is truthful. We may suspend or close any account we believe belongs to someone underage.

3. What Cellar Dash is — and is not

Cellar Dash is a record-keeping and reference tool. You catalogue bottles you already own, and the app helps you organise, value, and remember them.

Cellar Dash does not encourage excessive consumption. Please drink responsibly, and never drive after drinking.

4. Your account

You sign in with an email address. You are responsible for keeping access to that inbox secure and for activity under your account. Tell us promptly at support@cellar-dash.com if you believe someone else has gained access.

One account is for one person. Please do not share credentials or resell access.

5. Your content stays yours

Your inventory, tasting notes, photographs, and everything else you add remain yours. You grant us only the limited licence we need to run the service for you: to store your content, display it back to you, back it up, and process it through the features you choose to use.

We do not sell your content and we do not use it to advertise to you. What we share with the vendors who help operate the service is set out in our Privacy Policy.

You confirm you have the right to upload what you upload — photographs especially.

6. AI features are estimates, not appraisals

Several features use artificial intelligence: reading a bottle label from a photo, writing tasting profiles, suggesting pairings and cocktails, scoring bottles, and estimating market value.

Pairing and cocktail suggestions are for enjoyment and take no account of allergies, medical conditions, or medication interactions. Check ingredients yourself.

7. Paid plans and billing

Cellar Dash has a free plan and a paid plan, Cellar Dash Premium. Current pricing is $1.99 per month or $19.99 per year in US dollars.

• Free trial. New subscriptions start with a free trial — currently 15 days. The exact length is shown before you confirm, and that is the length that applies to you. Cancel before it ends and you are not charged.
• Auto-renewal. When the trial ends, and at the end of every billing period after that, your subscription renews automatically and your payment method is charged until you cancel.
• Cancelling. Cancel any time from Manage in the app, which opens our payment provider's billing portal. Access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for.
• Payment. Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card details.
• Price changes. We may change prices. Existing subscribers receive at least 30 days' notice by email before a change affects them, and may cancel first.
• Failed payments. If a payment fails, paid features may be paused until it succeeds. Your collection data is not deleted.

Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy, which forms part of these terms.

8. AI credits

AI features consume credits. A paid plan includes a monthly allowance that resets at the start of each calendar month and does not roll over. You may also buy top-up credit packs, which do not expire while your account is open.

Credits have no cash value, cannot be exchanged for money, and cannot be transferred between accounts. We may adjust how many credits an action costs as underlying costs change; material changes will be announced in the app.

We also apply daily limits to protect the service against runaway or automated use.

9. Complimentary access

We sometimes issue codes granting free access. Complimentary access is a gift, not a purchase: it carries no cash value, we may withdraw it at any time, and codes may expire or reach a redemption limit. Metered AI credits still apply.

10. Acceptable use

Please do not:

• break the law, or use Cellar Dash to facilitate an unlawful alcohol sale;
• upload content that is unlawful, infringing, or someone else's private information;
• scrape, resell, or systematically extract data from the service;
• probe, overload, or interfere with the service or its security, or use automated tools to consume AI features at scale;
• impersonate anyone, or misrepresent your age.

11. Availability

We aim to keep Cellar Dash running but cannot promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features. If we discontinue the service entirely, we will give reasonable notice and a means to export your data.

12. Ending your account

You may stop using Cellar Dash and request deletion at any time — see the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms, is underage, or is being used to harm the service or other people. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will tell you why.

13. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Cellar Dash is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that AI output, valuations, or reference information are accurate, complete, or current.

14. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Cellar Dash, LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or the cost of substitute services.

Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of $50 or the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The version and effective date at the top always reflect the current version. For material changes we will give notice in the app or by email before they take effect. Continuing to use Cellar Dash after that means you accept the new terms.

16. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You and Cellar Dash, LLC agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Georgia, except that either party may bring a claim in small claims court.
